Beings so close to Earth Day I have numerous things on my mind. Living in a world where there are options to artificially create something, I wanted to share some personal and real experiences I’ve encountered. I think it's important to show something authentic, and "as nature intended" (not modified) moments. We lose sight of the truth if we don't.
Though I do like creative arts, fact is I am honest about a situation, including when I modify/photoshop something and I will mention it.
In life I try to pay attention and have delt with all kinds of naturally cool, interesting, and sometimes even strange unexplainable experiences. For an example, it was a total surprise discovering the random 9.5 inch growth of the corn in the yard. What makes it even stranger and shocking was simultaneously I was in general and literally researching the Mesoamerican and Andean region for making products. At the time when my husband found the corn, he naturally pulled it out of the ground (unfortunately prior to grabbing a picture) because it was growing in an odd place. He had no idea I was researching the region period, let alone literally, its what I was doing at the time when he showed me what he found. Neat moment!

In the pictures showing the word info., its exactly what I'm trying to do, show information. No modifications were made other to block some personal information. The preview side panel is on showing the picture itself and my focus was wanting you to see the date and time of when the picture was taken.
On April 8, 2024, the day of total solar eclipse, I went to see the event in another region. At 6:26 pm this picture of the statue of Atlas was taken with no modifications/ filters. It just looked this way outside at the time. I found it interesting that the placement of the sun was shining in the globe of the statue. It was literally great timing!

In Greek mythology Atlas was a half-man, half-god giant, (or Titan), who helped lead a war against the Olympian gods. After losing the war, he was condemned to carry the world on his shoulders as a punishment.
Though I think it’s a “cool looking” picture taken during an interesting time period, there are times I can feel this way- life can be very heavy and overwhelming. Can you relate? What we do with all the stress is what’s important. Our actions affect ourselves and others. Its why I feel it’s important to continuously promote self-wellness as a healthy reminder, to maintain a healthier balance. Please have your “inner Atlas” take care of self.

Being in nature is a great way (for me) to recharge! If you feel "your world is coming down" sorta speak, sometimes the best medicine is to get into a different environment. We hope you can relax and recharge outdoors, perhaps away from your devices while seeing some cool looking creatures found in the region, and some new ones making their way home.
Last year we were working in this beautiful location for three days on several weekends, including Mother's Day. I absolutely love seeing animals in their natural habitat, not caged, restricted, and being mindfully cared for, if needed.

The placement of the Barn Swallow, or “public service announcement birds" indeed landed in these spots, so it was a good opportunity to use the setting to make a positive statement. Here are the original pictures. If you notice the time you can see they were taken a minute apart from eachother. Believed to be symbols of good luck, welcoming spring, love and loyalty etc. these little guys had a lot to say from just their impactful landing.
Meet an informative chatty fellow I named Peter. This adorable guy had a lot to say. Perhaps the most memorable. Please respect nature!

The Purple Martins hung around the feeder which was behind our booth. They were a pleasure to have around, and are important in cultures and spiritual beliefs. These small birds are thought to symbolize things like joy, new beginnings, longevity, hope, good luck etc.

Day and night there is something very real and special
about being amongst nature, and this business.

Ozzy Osbourne and Lemmy Kilmister (Motörhead) duet version (30th anniversary) of the song Hellraiser just so happened to be on as I pulled into the driveway of the Wildlife Refuge, on May 9th. Proving this fact, if you notice the time when I grabbed a picture of the sign, and took the picture of the song (for my personal visual reasoning), the difference was a minute apart. I've never hidden what music I listen to on a regular basis. Listening to the song helped me get through what I needed to do. I am constantly reminded that what I carry with me isn’t just my journey, I carry a heavy weight of others. My intentions are good and I'm trying to be helpful through it all.
In general music is incredibly important to me for various reasons including providing a healthy outlet. It’s why I continuously mention to find and utilize healthy outlets that work best for YOU. Every individual vibes differently, though we still need to maintain a healthier balance. Please may you find!

The praying mantis holds cultural significance, generally symbolizing patience, focus, and spiritual devotion etc. The brown one represents growth, being grounded, stable, and connected to the earth. I was surprised to walk to my vehicle and saw this guy standing on my windshield.
I don't kill things that could easily be taken outside if not wanting them in my home, for example spiders which are good for the environment.

I've had unique looking spiders living around too. Check out its interesting pattern, it looks like a skull! The other has an unhappy face, perhaps signs of the environment.

Did you know?

My journey naturally led me to some gorgeous creatures sharing their thoughts. Nature speaks all the time, please pay attention. It is all of our world. I think the first step to anything is awareness, after that it's how much do you care?

Have you ever thought about where you live, on a larger scale? Mindfully aware of Earth Day, its core message of protecting the planet is universal. Cultures from around the world have a belief and traditional practices showing a deep rooted connection of humans and nature. What we must do to respect and protect the Earth, nature and wildlife within it. Some celebrate by going to a festival, getting involved with environmental projects, or spreading educational services. Whatever you choose to do please know we all can be the Earths hero by making a difference on a daily basis. Remember, we are all a work in progress, as is this business.
